Turning Personality Into a Business Superpower

Camille has been in the permanent makeup world for 23 years. After getting remarried years ago, she was unexpectedly fired for being too personable. Instead of dimming her light, she leaned into it, unaware that it would become her business superpower.
One day, a friend casually mentioned she’d be great at tattooing eyebrows. That small comment changed everything.
She went back to school, found her niche, and quickly realized her biggest competition… was herself! Camille became known for being fast, incredibly skilled, and deeply passionate about permanent makeup.
“I was meant to be busy,” she says. And she means it.
A Business Built on Passion
Legally licensed as an esthetician for 17 years, Camille does everything except hair and nails. As a mom of five (and now a grandma!), her life has always revolved around kids, sports, and travel.
When her son graduated, she suddenly found herself with extra time on her hands. She decided to pour that energy straight back into her business.
Lessons Learned the Hard Way

What started as busy work quickly became her sanctuary. But looking back, Camille wishes she had known more about the business side from the beginning.
“I wish I had gone to business school,” she shares. Pricing, operations, and backend systems can get confusing, especially when you’re trying to manage everything on your own. After navigating COVID and essentially restarting, she’s learned just how important it is to understand how your business really works behind the scenes.
