Each year, around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspca.org\/helping-people-pets\/shelter-intake-and-surrender\/pet-statistics\">920,000 cats and dogs are euthanized<\/a> in shelters due to overcrowding\u2014often the result of a lack of affordable, accessible spay and neuter services. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2024\/10\/03\/texas-pet-population-problems-shelters\/\">Texas, in particular<\/a>, continues to grapple with this issue due to a lack of available resources for spay and neuter services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s where <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/texaslittercontrol.org\/\">Texas Litter Control (TLC)<\/a><\/strong> comes in\u2014a high-quality, low-cost spay, neuter, and wellness clinic serving cats and dogs. While TLC&#8217;s beginnings were humble, its impact has grown far beyond what founder Deana Love could have imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe love helping people who cannot afford services at other clinics,\u201d says Love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That love sparked something big. Since opening its doors in February 2013 out of an 800-square-foot FEMA trailer, TLC has grown into multiple locations across Harris and Montgomery counties, where they perform 35\u201345 spay\/neuter surgeries and 32\u201364 wellness appointments daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-scaling-with-the-right-support\"><strong>Scaling With the Right Support<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Growth is exciting, but it comes with a new set of challenges. Between patient care and admin work, every minute matters. TLC needed a system that would help them work smarter, not harder.<ins><\/ins><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe system is just very clean,\u201d Love says. \u201cWe can set up SOAPs with default values. Everything is on ONE SCREEN\u2014there&#8217;s not a lot of clicking here and there.
