Portable Data Assistant, PDA
You can use a PDA with DaySmart pocket pc software. PDA stands for "Portable Data Assistant" and is typically a small hand-held computer with a touch screen.
The PDA software will run on any Pocket PC that is running Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher.
The following information can be viewed:
- Upcoming appointments date and time
- Services and products on each upcoming appointment
- Grand total price for the appointment
- Quantity, price, and discounts for each service
- Employee that performs each service
- Details on the client who is scheduled for the appointment including:
- Client's address
- Home, cell, and work phone number
- Comments
- History
- Pop-up reminders
- Balance
The PDA needs to connect to your computer via a serial or USB connection and be able to transfer data using Microsoft's ActiveSync for Windows XP or Windows Mobile Device Center for Windows Vista.

Common brands of Pocket PC's are Dell and HP. Some popular models are Dell Axim and HP Ipaq.
